The COPD Awareness Poster Project

In support of the NLHEP goals to increase awareness of COPD and to encourage the use of spirometry to diagnose this disease, we have created a set of 13 colorful posters that represent all ages, ethnic groups and both genders. These posters are now available in Spanish. Some suggestions for placement of the posters include: doctors’ office waiting and exam rooms, pulmonary lab waiting rooms, hospital bulletin boards and at health fairs.

The NLHEP invites any group to use the posters, but please follow these simple rules:

  • No co-branding or ads on the front or back of any poster
  • No change in the wording or format
  • NLHEP must be the only organization displayed on the piece, unless prior approval is given (via email or in writing) by the Chair of NLHEP.

To review and download the posters, you must register. We need this information to determine how this project is working – and we would like to be able to contact you in the future for more feedback on what you are doing with the posters.  Once you have registered, you will get a password that will allow you to go directly to the posters at any time. You can click on any posters you want and “print” on a color printer.

“Test Your Lungs. Know Your Numbers.” is the battle cry of NLHEP. Patients at risk or already with COPD need to know their FEV1 and FEV1/FEV6 ratio – just like they know their blood pressure and cholesterol numbers!
